V2 vs V3 clutch

First and second generation BMC clutches are manufactured of two separate pieces: one way bearing pressed into a gear ring. Under excessive power this assembly is known to come apart as demonstrated below.

Third generation clutches are one whole piece, therefore it is capable of handling greater torque. All new BMC 600W and 1000W have third generation clutch.
